Phenolic urethane no-bake resin is developed for the rapid and mass production of no-bake sand moulding line, suitable for steel, iron and nonferrous metal castings. The binder system consists of three parts, i.e., benzyl ether phenolic resin solution (part 1), polyisocyanate solution (part Il) and catalyst (part IIl).
High strength, low addition of resin

Addition of resin: Part I: 0.35%~1.0%(weight percentage to sand), Part 1I:0.35%~1.0%(weight percentage to sand). The ratio of the two Parts can be adjusted between (60-45):(40-55);
High addition of Part I results in high initial strength and low gas evolution of mould (core); High content of Part Il results in longer bench life mold sand, high final strength, but more fume and higher gas evolution and higher risks of lustrous carbon and blowhole on castings,
Addition of catalyst: generally add 0.5 to 5% of the Part I. The catalyst Type and addition are determined according to the size and complexity of the mold/core to ensure bench life of mold sand;
Way of adding catalyst: separately added by metering pump or added with Part I.
For batch sand mixer, different mixers require different mixing time. The mixing time shall be adjusted according to recommendation by the manufacturer to get uniform sand mixing;
Resin addition sequence of batch mixer. Firstly, add the Part I resin (pre-added with Part III) and mix with sand for several seconds, then add Part II and mix. The mixed sand should be used within short time;
For continuous sand mixer, the catalyst can be separately added or with Part I. Part I shall be added firstly, followed by Part II. Moulding or core making shall immediately commence after sand comeout.
1)Sand mixers shall be timely maintained to ensure the mixing evenness of the two resins;
2)The catalyst shall be added and mixed fully and evenly with Part I in case of not adding separately;
3)The mixture of catalyst and Part I shall be used up within 24h. Fast curing, lower strength and other problem may occur in case of using long time mixture
It maybe irritating to skin and eyes, use of appropriate personal protection equipment is recommended.
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for any eye contact. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking,tears or redness persist.
Keep packaging closed when not in use.
Handle with care
Keep in a cool and well ventilation place, away from fire and heat source.
